Quick answer: For 4K, sit about 1–1.5× the screen's diagonal away (a 65" 4K TV ≈ 5.5–8 ft). 1080p needs more distance (~1.6–2.5×); 8K lets you sit closest (~0.7–1.2×). Higher resolution = sit closer without seeing pixels.
